Cu Chi tunnels, a battleground as well as a stronghold nerve center of an underground war for many years during Vietnam war, were made up of 250 km of tunnels and chambers below the city. The area is still known under the name "Cu Chi, The Steel Ground" with glorious military exploits in the fights for the peace of the heroic inhabitants.
