Detailed tour program:
Hue
We go to the last capital of the Vietnamese Empire, where we will visit the giant Citadel of the Vietnamese Emperors and their tombs.
Hue is a city in the central part of Vietnam, the administrative center of Thua Thien-Hue province. An important cultural, political, economic, educational and tourist center of the central part of Vietnam. Hue was the capital of Vietnam during the Nguyen dynasty from 1802-1945.
Hue Monument Complex - several hundred architectural objects from the Nguyen dynasty (temples, palaces, mausoleums) in the Vietnamese city of Hue, built over a century and a half and included in 1993 by UNESCO in the World Cultural Heritage List.
The construction of the huge Citadel of Kinh Thanh under the leadership of Emperor Gia Long began in 1804, and ended in 1832.
The citadel is surrounded by a rampart with ten fortified gates and a zigzag moat, through which bridges are thrown to the gates. Inside the fortress walls is the Imperial City itself, surrounded by a six-meter stone wall with four gates. Inside the imperial city there are six quarters, a palace complex and a citadel city (Tu Kam Thanh) heavily destroyed by the Forbidden or Purple.
The main entrance to the Citadel was once considered the mighty and huge South or Noon Gate. Just beyond the other gate are the "Nine Sacred Weapons" - artillery cannons, symbolizing the protection of the kingdom and dedicated to the five elements of nature (fire, water, wood, earth and metal).
In addition to the Palace, historical sights are also located here:
Two-storey Library (Thai Binh Lau) and Royal Theater (Duyet Thi Duong); Museum of Emperors (Bao-Tang-Ku-Wat) with painted walls, royal robes, tools and furniture; changtien bridge; Military Museum; Chieu, Thai, Hung and Fung Tian Temple, Hien Lam Pavilion; Tu Dam and Thou Huy Pagodas, Mandarin Halls; the residence of Dien Tho, the home of the Queen Mothers of the Nguyen Dynasty; a six-walled pavilion with a two-ton Dai Hong Chung bell and Buddha statues.
Thien Mu Pagoda
Pagoda with a seven-story twenty-meter octagonal tower Thap Phuoc Duyen, dedicated to the Buddha. One of the symbols of Hue.
Royal tombs
Eight complexes of tombs of monarchs, which differ greatly in style and interior decoration.
Hue Antiquity Museum
A monument of special value with wooden panels on which his poems are inscribed by the hand of one of the emperors.
Phu Cam Cathedral
The temple, created in 1965 using the latest architectural concepts at that time.
